Day 8 Nuremberg

We went by bus to our tours...

Ruth and Kevin went on the WWII tour and visited a memorial site (an unfinished colosseum) where Hitler's army was able to be paraded for all to see. It was a eye opening experience and demonstrated Hitler's grandiose ideals of his power base.

Carol and Graeme went on a tour to the town. Again a most magnificent medieval town where the view from the castle which was surrounded by a mote was a site to behold. Our tour guide had a photo of the town after the bombings of WWII......where a couple of original houses remained.....the town council worked well to renovate and build the current town to represent the previous old site.

Lunch today was at a 'bratwurst' sausage house....a competition between the Braviarian sausage and the Bratwurst sausage in Nuremberg. I thought the bratwurst was the best.
